Our aim is of a world where optometry makes high-quality eye health and vision care accessible to all people in Bihar. Also recognized as a healthcare professionals in the state.
OUR OBJECTIVES
- To achieve our aim, our mission is to facilitate the development of optometry and practice optometry as per ILO (International Labor Organization) for optometrist across the Bihar.
- Support optometrists in promoting eye health and vision care as a human right through advocacy, education, policy development, and humanitarian outreach.
- Adaptation of the definition of optometry and optometrist as per the acceptance of WHO, WCO, and ILO.
- To achieve the regulations for OPTOMETRY discipline profession and Practice optometry instead of OPHTHALMIC SCIENCE as an independent role of optometrists regulations must be regulated under the statuary government body like THE NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR ALLIED AND HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS ACT, 2021 Govt. of India, The Act was in forced on 26th March 2021.
- A Strong advocacy for Optometry Discipline Practice in Bihar as Primarily healthcare practitioner.
